Brief History
Chimero Agrovet & Farms Nigeria Limited was conceived and started May 2006 as a trading company, engaging mostly in the sourcing and distribution of quality day old chicks, turkey poults, point of lay pullets, drugs, vaccine and other agro-allied products.
Within the first four years of our existence, we made remarkable progress that lead to its diversification into production as a poultry breeding company, producing and marketing our own day old chicks, popularly called Chimero Marvelous chicks including broilers and pullets
Expansion
In 2013, with the assistance of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Commercial Agricultural Credit Loan, the company was able to embark on its own ultra-modern hatchery project with the production capacity of about (385, 000) chicks monthly.
In 2018, additional hatchery unit of about (231,000) production capacity were installed which increased our present capacity to about (616,000) chicks monthly.
The need to meet the hatchery's full capacity necessitated further expansion in the capacity of the breeder farm and also led to the concept of public hatchery services for some breeder farms who cannot afford their own hatchery incubators.
Present Achievements & Capacity
We have grown from a small scale business to a large scale business with an annual turnover of over ₦375,000,000. Presently our total worth is close to a billion naira and a workforce of over 50 skilled staff and branches in two major cities in Nigeria (Abuja and Enugu). Presently, we operate at the total capacity of about 7,392,000 chicks annually.

Our astute proficiency and professionalism has endeared us to major poultry breeding companies such as Nastech Nigeria Limited, GS Agriculture Limited, RTO Nigeria Limited, Olam Farms & Hatcheries Nigeria Limited, Ajanla Farms Nigeria Limited (CHI), etc. who have patronized us at one time or the other.
